The new groups could give Republicans and their allies a powerful campaign apparatus separate from the Republican National Committee. Karl Rove, political architect of the Bush presidency, and Ed Gillespie, former Republican Party chairman, are the most prominent forces behind what is, in effect, a network of five overlapping groups, three of which were started in the past few months.

Amazing what has happened this week. Arizona profiling law for immigrants, BP Gulf Oil Spill, NY Terrorist Car Bomb Attempt and Stock Market.

 

"The Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted almost 1,000 points in a half-hour today, the cause of which appears to be human error exacerbated by a market made more volatile by high-speed trades and automatic sale orders that are measured in milliseconds.
Sources said a trader attempting to short-sell 16 million shares of S&P 500 stock, possibly involving Proctor & Gamble profits, entered a "b" for billion instead of an "m" for million. That error sent high frequency traders scurrying, causing liquidity to vanish."

Susan and I have now been in Oregon for two years. Time has flown by so fast. Our dog Bella is doing great which means that her liver condition is under control with the meds that we give her daily.

Bella's latest blood test shows that her liver enzyme levels to be normal. Steroid treatment and making her a special diet of home cooked food has achieved success. Susan and I are so happy for Bella.

Next month the El Segundo, car show will be happening. Cars will be on show all along main street Saturday August 25,2007.

Since Bella's health is improving, her veterinarian discontinued Bella's steroid treatment. She is feeling so much better. We just hope that after her next blood test, in about a week, there will be signs of significant improvement with her liver condition.
